Major topics are Earth-Sun relations, mapping and satellite imagery, weather and climate patterns, ecology, plate tectonics, landform development, and human impacts on the environment. This is a foundation course for students interested in the Earth sciences and environmental studies, as well as a major in geography. Field trips and nature walks are a regular part of the class.
