    (Formerly CO SCI 117) The student learns about organization and operation of real computer systems at the assembly-language level, mapping statements and constructs in a high-level language onto sequences of machine instructions, the internal epresentations of simple data types and structures, basic principles of operating systems and programming language translation process, and the various data representation errors and potential procedural errors.
