Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis is an introductory course which outlines the principles of fire ground control through the utilization of personnel, equipment and extinguishing agents on the fire ground or emergency incident. This course is the backbone of the Incident Command System, along with the theory of the Rapid Intervention Crew and Standardized Emergency Management System. These topics will be presented as theories and principles with emphasis on practical and appropriateness of key academic strategies. This course provides group interactions and individualized instruction to develop a support system and a mentor experience with the instructor. Attendance and participation at two scheduled field trips will be required during the course.
