Transfers ToUC and CSUCal-GETC Area 6 · IGETC Area 7 · CSU GE Area F · CSU GE Area DDescriptionThis introductory course will take an interdisciplinary and intersectional approach to the examination of the historical, cultural, economic and political issues that impact ethnic/racial groups within the United States, with a specific focus the African American, Asian American, Indigenous/American Indian/Native American, and Chicana/o and Latina/o communities. Utilizing a socio-historical scope, this course will analyze how racial formations have been historically constructed and resisted, as well as, provide theoretical frameworks to identify and understand the modalities of white supremacy, and to combat racism, in a comparative context, over time in in contemporary society.Usually HeldThu 11:30am–12:55pm, Thu 2:10pm–3:35pm, Wed 12:45pm–2:10pm
