    Description
    This course introduces students to the analysis of and writing about representative fiction, drama, autobiography, poetry, essays, and oral literature written by African American authors from 1700s to the present. This course promotes an appreciation for the qualities of this literature from historical, philosophical, social, political, and aesthetic perspectives.
