Included are image acquisition; MRI equipment, terminology, and instrumentation; tissue characteristics; basic patient and personNel safety; patient assessment and preparation; imaging parameters, and quality assurance. The course is designed to allow practicing technologists the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to qualify for national licensure as MRI technologists.
