    Description
    This course is designed to teach the gunsmithing student to safely prepare and blue steel firearms. The topics that will be covered include: proper polishing technique, the use of buffers and buffing compounds, the use of sand/bead blasting equipment, the mixing and maintenance of bluing chemicals, the bluing process with a hot caustic solution, cold bluing and nitre bluing. This course will consist of one hour lecture and three hours lab weekly.
