Material fee required and subject to change. A supplemental $10.00 CSTI certification fee will be charged and will be collected at the time of registration. The intent of this course is to train FRO's to perform responder decontamination for any type of chemical spill including weapons of mass destruction, and in any level of chemical protection under the direct supervision of a Decontamination Leader. The training focuses on using equipment and personnel on-hand, in support of local hazmat team members, during a hazmat incident in the jurisdiction where the training takes place. Because each emergency situation is different and requires guidelines that are flexible and can be adapted to the situation at hand; this training is intended to teach guidelines rather than specific standards for implementing the decontamination process. This course is certified by the California Specialized Training Institute and students successfully completing the class will be issued a CSTI certificate. This course may be repeated when needed to meet legally mandated training requirements.
