Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionclinical The Coronal Polish course prepares the student for state certification. After completing this course, the graduate will earn a certificate in Coronal Polishing. As of January 1, 2025, the Dental Board of California states prior to enrolment, students must show they have completed a Board-approved 8-hour Infection Control course and possess current, valid certification in basic life support (BLS). A 75% or higher is required on all Final Exams as well as course grade. To perform coronal polishing prior to licensure as a registered dental assistant, an unlicensed dental assistant shall complete a Board-approved coronal polishing course and obtain a certificate of completion. Students must be accepted into the Lassen Community College Dental Assisting Program OR be a dental office/clinic preceptee with proof of preceptorship in dental assisting. Approved uniform is required.
