Students will delve into crucial topics such as infection control, maintaining accurate records, effective patient communication, delivering quality patient care, and fostering positive relationships within the office environment. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the form, function, and positioning of both the hard and soft structures within the oral cavity. Students will explore topics in general physiology, oral embryology, histology, and the physiology of the head and neck, all of which are integral to the practice of dentistry. A special focus will be placed on studying nutrition from a holistic perspective and understanding its interconnected impact on the oral ecosystem. A minimum final examination grade and final grade in course of 75% is required.
