    Description
    This course is designed to prepare experienced law enforcement personnel to teach Tactical Rifle courses at the basic and in-service level. Topics include the role of the law enforcement rifle instructor, liability issues, instructor development, lesson plan preparation, basic marksmanship, shooter problem analysis, standard and non-traditional shooting positions, weapons transition, and tactical movement and cover. This course meets the minimum instructor certification requirements to be a POST Tactical Rifle instructor. This course assumes the student is proficient in the use of the designated weapons systems, as basic operator skills will not be taught. Due to current California Law, enrollment limited to current California peace officers who are sponsored by their agency. Course instructor signature required for enrollment. Material fees of $25.00 per student collected at time of registration.
