    Formation of sexual and gender identities from a cross-cultural, cross-societal perspective: Biological and historical understandings of male/female difference. Female body, alternative sexualities, female power in the public sphere, mother-child relations and gender-related violence. Consideration of contemporary, globalized societies and gendered behavior in smaller-scale societies.
