    Description
    This non-credit course is designed for students of all skill levels who want to learn how to play West African rhythms on the djembe drum. Instruction will include exercises in hand placement techniques in order to facilitate proper tones on the djembe. Jun jun and bell parts may be introduced as well as concepts for playing solos. Skills and exercises in this course focus on lifelong education for older adults to promote health and well-being.
