    This course explores ethical and legal issues relating to health care and medical settings. Emphasis is on implications and decision making for patients, providers, medical assistants, and other health professionals. Special attention is given to patient privacy laws. Assignments and discussions will allow students to examine their own personal and cultural values and decision making processes and compare those to the value systems, laws, and decision making processes described in the text.
