    Description
    This course exceeds the California Dental Board 8-Hour requirement for Registered Dental Assistants (RDA) licensure and is required for all new Registered Dental Assistant applicants and new dental office employees. This course covers the definition and implementation of sterilization methods and guidelines. Including patient medical history, infection control, prevention of contamination, and the use of personal protective equipment. In addition, verification of infection, disinfection, care of treatment room, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste, handling soiled instruments, handpieces, burs, water, and air syringes are presented. The who, what, and why of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is discussed all in a hands-on practical format. This course is not for RDA licensure renewal.
