Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis course provides an introduction to the function, maintenance and use of internal combustion engine powered chainsaws. Students will practice general sawing techniques, including brushing, bucking, limbing, and felling. Students with Firefighter 1 Training will also learn to incorporate techniques in wildland fire applications and have the opportunity to obtain their wildland fire chainsaw certification (NWCG S-212).
