Topics covered include crisis intervention, treatment planning, securing resources for clients, record documentation, screening, data collection, implementation of treatment plans, and aftercare. Ethics and scope of practice for alcohol and drug counselors are addressed in this course, as well as personal and professional growth for counselors. This course may also be taken for credit (see COU126).
