This course expands on the material from CHM 221, focusing on alkynes, polyenes; aromatic compounds; alcohols, thiols, and ethers; and aldehydes and ketones and their derivatives. Concepts will include and expand upon retrosynthesis, spectroscopic structure determination, and reaction mechanisms
