    This course is the lecture component of a one-quarter introduction to organic and biological chemistry primarily for students who intend to pursue careers in allied health fields and other applied sciences. Topics include structure and properties of hydrocarbons, organic compounds containing oxygen and sulfur, the structure and functions of carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, proteins, and nucleic acids.
