- This course will provide an introduction to the American legal system in a business context. This course introduces the concept of law and discusses its sources and uses as an instrument of social control, dispute settlement, and ethical responsibility. Major emphasis will be placed on torts, crimes, business organizations, judicial and administrative processes, and a full development of contract law. *UC unit/course limit
