Field exercises support entry level training for firefighters with little or no previous experience in operating a chain saw and provide hands-on cutting experience in surroundings similar to fireline situations. This course is targeted for individuals desiring to be qualified as Basic Faller (FAL3), Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1), Incident Commander Type 5 (ICT5), or Felling Boss, Single Resource (FELB) under the National Wildfire Coordinating Group qualification system.
