    Description
    This course covers the principles of technical prints and shop drawings as used in the manufacturing shop to visually communicate product design and fabrication procedures. Topics include blueprint reading, technical terminology, hand drafting, computer literacy, 2-D and 3-D CAD modeling, and an introduction into CAM software. Assignments will develop the skills necessary to utilize CAD/CAM software to create 2-D and 3-D computer models of parts to be made using semi- and fully-automated manufacturing processes.
