    Description
    In this course students will learn about watershed ecology including, lakes, streams, and rivers. Students will gain an understanding of water storage facilities and water utilization issues. Students will also gain an understanding of fisheries management issues. The course covers use of instruments to monitor water quality at numerous field sites. Field exercises include studies of the lower Kings River, Pine Flat Reservoir, and agricultural water uses. Students will be introduced to the methods, techniques, and tools used to manage and enhance watershed health. Laboratory is required. Field trips may be required for this course.
