- This lecture and lab course covers the aeronautical knowledge required to earn an instrument rating. Some of the topics covered will include principles of instrument flight, flight instruments, instrument navigation systems, IFR departure-enroute-arrival procedures, analyzing weather information and conditions, IFR flight planning, and IFR emergency procedures.
