Students will learn about interpreted code, using an integrated development environment and cover Python syntax, types, arithmetic operators and expressions, variables and scope, input/output operations, conditions, iteration, lists and dictionaries and their manipulation, basic sorting, modules and packages, string methods, exception handling, object-oriented programming, inheritance, polymorphism, generators, and iterators. This course prepares students for Python Institute's Certified Associate in Python Programming (PCAP) by addressing objectives as specified in the curriculum.
