Students will learn the importance of communication, active listening, deciphering verbal and nonverbal communication, and the power of language, culture, perception, and emotions in relationships. Many interpersonal theories will be studied so the student can develop a basic understanding and skill set for navigating romantic, platonic, family, and professional relationships with communication competence, interpersonal skills, and pragmatic theoretical application.
