    Description
    This course develops the fundamentals of communicating in Spanish, including listening comprehension, reading, writing and basic conversation. Grammar instruction enhances reading comprehension and writing accuracy. Students actively participate in classroom oral activities. In addition, this course presents general aspects of Hispanic daily life and culture. This honors course will be enriched through limited class size, oral presentations, expanded assignments and participation in cultural activities. Field trip required. SPAN 1H is taught in Spanish and is equivalent to two years of high school Spanish. Credit may be earned in either SPAN 1 or 1H, but not both. C-ID: SPAN 100
