The major emphasis is on mechanics with additions from properties of matter, vibrations and waves and thermodynamics. Topics include kinematics and dynamics in one and two dimensions; vectors; Newton's laws; conservation of energy and momentum; kinematics and dynamics of rotational motion; harmonic motion; and selected topics from properties of matter and thermodynamics.
