The course presents the foundations of keyboard musicianship, including standard music notation; pentascales; and tonic, dominant and subdominant harmonies. Practice outside of class and concert attendance are required. Practice pianos are available on campus. Students are limited to enrollment in four piano courses (MUS 54, 55, 56, 57, 62, or 65) for a maximum of 8 units.
