    Description
    This course is mandatory for music majors and offers an in-depth exploration of diatonic harmony in both major and minor modes. It includes non-chord tones, inversions and treatment of seventh chords, secondary functions and modulations to relative as well as closely related keys. Students will engage in analyzing major works and composing melodic lines in 4 voices. The course includes Musicianship II: sight-singing, keyboard harmony, ear training and dictation. C-ID: MUS 130
