    Description
    This course is a study of the basic principles of music, including rhythm and pitch notation, basic properties of the sound, counting, major and minor scales, key signatures, intervals, and triads. It is designed to develop the student's basic skills in music reading, sight singing, and aural identification, as well as handwritten and digital notation. The course is recommended for music majors but is open to all students. Credit may be earned in either MUS 1 or 1H, but not both. C-ID: MUS 110
