    Description
    This course examines a specific genre or theme within the field of popular literature. Students explore the historical, socio-cultural, political, and literary contexts that foster the development of the genre or theme; the critical conversations surrounding the genre or theme; its traditional and emergent conventions; and its impact on audiences and the development of mainstream and genre literature.
