    Description
    This course will explore past, current, and future trends of social-cultural issues in sport. Students will receive a hands on, integrated educational experience to enhance their professional skills and knowledge. Literature, discussions, and multi-media presentations will be used to survey how social-cultural issues impact sports and society. Students will engage in discussion and debate over topics such as media's role in sports, gender equity, racial barriers, concussions, performance enhancing drugs, women in sports, fantasy sports, ESports, along with a number of other social-cultural issues that impact sports and society.
