    Description
    This course examines, analyzes, and discusses central themes and topics in Japanese culture and society through the lens of Japanese animation (anime) and printed cartoons/graphic novels (manga). Students also look into the work of key anime and manga artists to gain an insight into the evolution of these genres and how they have impacted the development of global popular culture. The class is taught in English.
