    Description
    This course explores the construction of gender in contemporary culture, media, and social institutions. Students will examine gender in literature, art, music, film, and new media. Additionally, students will study gender in work, family, religion, sports, and social advocacy. Special attention will be paid to issues of intersectionality in contemporary life in terms of race, sexuality, class, age, and ability.
