    Description
    This composition course is designed for multilingual speakers of English and emphasizes an integrated approach to critical reading, expository and argumentative writing and mastery of library research techniques. It includes instruction and practice in critical thinking, analytical reading and evaluation of written work. Students will receive instruction in the methods of clearly communicating and supporting ideas in organized, coherent essays and using appropriate academic language. Students are required to write essays, including a research paper, based on fiction and nonfiction texts, personal experience, and college-level research. Students will write a minimum of 6,000 words. C-ID ENGL 100.
