Concepts pertaining to energy, material, and information flow within and between organisms, populations, communities, and ecosystems are through lines in the introduction to macroevolution, phylogenetics, organismal diversity, anatomy and physiology, and ecology. As an Honors course, students will be completing advanced reading and writing assignments, will conduct more rigorous laboratory exercises, and perform more in-depth data analyses than in BIO 52. BIO 52H was formerly offered as BIO 80H. Credit for BIO 52 or 52H, but not both.
