Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides opportunities to learn and perform beginning through advanced Mariachi music in an ensemble setting, as well as to learn to play Mariachi instruments from beginning levels through proficient levels. The Mariachi instruments to be studied/played include violin, viola, cello, guitarron, guitar, vihuela, trumpet, small harp, accordion, voice, etc. Students will study musical note reading, proper performance stylistic practices of Mariachi music, memorization techniques, as well as ideal ensemble performance practices.
