    Description
    This course is an introduction to the study of children’s literature. It includes a survey of the major authors, works, and genres of literature written for children and young adults with an emphasis on critical literary analysis and appreciation. Participants will read a variety of works of literature and compose written responses that interpret their unique contexts. The course requires extensive reading, writing, and analysis supported by textual evidence and citations.
