This course exceeds the minimum mandated number of hours of training, as set forth by the California State Board of Corrections, and is designed for the current role of corrections in today's society. This course emphasizes the following: Facility operations, criminal law, ethics, inmate supervision and welfare, defensive tactics and techniques, and physical training.
