- This course will serve as an introduction to assessment and treatment approaches to alcoholism and drug abuse. Alcoholism will be studied in its social and clinical context. Attention will be given to the basic theoretical approaches to the disease. This course will examine the various components of intervention, treatment, recovery, and resources.
