    Introduces the fundamental concepts of procedural programming. Topics include data types, control structures, functions, arrays, files, and the mechanics of running, testing, and debugging a program. Hands-on experiences with a full range of computer science topics demonstrate practical use of computers and the scope and substance of the computer science discipline. Appropriate for liberal arts majors and students preparing for CSS programs. (The first course in a three-course programming sequence.) course in a three-course programming sequence.)
