Focused on collaborative and culturally sensitive communication with colleagues and patients to promote dynamic and engaging healthcare related professional settings. Exploration of self-awareness, listening, non-verbal communication, communication environment, and communication misperceptions will guide learning. An emphasis on culturally competent communication will help students acknowledge and dismantle biases that hinder the patient-caregiver relationship. All courses designated as an upper division major requirement must be completed with a minimum grade of "C" (or "P") for each course in the major.
