Students will need to register with one of the certifying agencies well in advance of placement. Transfers ToCSUDescriptionDesigned for students in their last semester of the AOD program, this course provides students with a hands-on learning experience via a directed field study. Emphasis is placed on enabling the student to experience and perform the work of a chemical dependency counselor. Students must complete at least 255 hours of volunteer experience or 300 hours of paid work experience in an approved facility to meet unit requirements and CAADAC/CCBADC accreditation standards for practicum experience. Instructor will facilitate internship/job placement and development of individualized goals.
