    This course will provide students with an overview of topics fundamental to basic legal research and persuasive and analytical legal writing . Topics include online legal research and law library references, legal periodicals, and annotated state and federal statutes. The course also focuses on the development of written communication skills essential to any law-related career. Students will draft a case brief and other basic legal documents such as legal correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
