    Description
    The goal of health psychology is to understand the psychological influences on health behavior, including promotion, maintenance, prevention and treatment. The course will focus on the etiology and correlates of health and illness, as well as analyze the health care system and the formulation of health policies within the United States. Specific emphasis will be placed on exploring health disparities among historically underrepresented groups, including African Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans, and Latino/a/x Americans.
