This course provides the student with a practical introduction to the technique, theory, and vocabulary of various dance genres. Designed as an overview of dance, this course addresses dance genres from a historical perspective. Attention is also paid to theoretical and stylistic differences between, as well as commonalities shared by, various dance genres.
