    Description
    This course introduces the historical and literary origins of theater from 1800 to modern theater through a study of dramatic literature. The general nature of dramatic presentation including elements of dramatic structure, types of drama, and the contributions of the playwright, actor, director, designer, technician, and audience will be included. The course includes an introduction to the important eras in theater history through the literary analysis and study of several well-known plays. Students are required to attend Golden West College Theater Arts department productions.
