This course explores how people, individually and collectively, can accomplish change. It examines the theories, concepts and dynamics of social movements seeking social justice for disenfranchised populations in the United States, including Latinx, Chicano/a, African American, Asian American and Native Americans. Students will study social movements locally, nationally, and globally. This course includes a service-learning component. Enrollment Limitation: ETHS G130; students who complete GLST G130 may not enroll in or receive credit for ETHS G130.
