    Formerly: ECON C2001 . An introductory course using microeconomic models to understand individual decisions by consumers and firms, market outcomes including market failure, elasticity, market structures, labor markets, inequality, and the impact of government policies. The course studies economic theory of scarcity, resource allocation, price theory, supply and demand, costs of production, and analysis of individual and firm behavior in markets. C-ID: ECON 201.
